What did we learn?

Pump It Up "Where Everyday is a Party"

In doing this term project we learned many different things that will help us all down the road in our futures and careers. We learned about a company most of us did not know about, how the systems they use and what these systems can do in social media. We learned about the behind the scenes of what it takes to run a kid's paradise. Information SILO’s can cause many issues for a business if not handled properly. Communication is an important part of collaboration in team efforts. Technology and innovation is constantly making changes in the way businesses run. Pump It Up is based on focus differentiation - providing a safe and clean environment for children' entertainment. Pump It Up uses PIUSMS which is an EAI efficient software system.


It is imperative that going paperless becomes at least an idea for Pump It Up. Having tablets so there is a decrease in miscommunication problems and loss money because a paper gets lost that has a tally of all the stuff one party ordered.

They use the Facebook page insights to get their metrics on user engagement, brand awareness and more. Their target audience are parents, specifically targeting moms. Every time they post on their social media they already have it set to advertise towards a specific group on the media. They post pictures and information showing their events going on. Notifying the mothers of what is happening at the place shows them that this children’s place is safe for kids because other families are enjoying it as well

Pump it Up does use various social media outlets however for this specific location Pump it Up,
Roselle operates specifically through Facebook. While accessing Facebook, employees have
solved many problems and concerns of customers who have posted directly on the company
homepage. Various advertisements and flyers are also posted periodically in the attempt to
communicate to prospective employees in regards to job opportunities. Lastly as a result of
having such a presence on social media, Pump it Up has taken advantage of peer to peer sales,
specifically as customers see the comments of other satisfied customers and respond accordingly.
